Hello,
I'm brand new to ARIS and have read all the macro / report creation tutorials that I could find. I've dug around the ARIS script documentation but I can't find anything that relates to moving objects into a different folder (group). I was hoping someone would be able to assist and point me in the right direction.
In essence, I am looking to create an automated task to migrate all objects that are outside of an "Object Repository" everyday. This way, if a model is removed it does not remove all the objects which are utilized by other models. I was able to create a macro that pulls all the objects that are floating around, but I can't seem to find any function to move these objects.
Just to throw in another random question, are there other editors we can utilize other than the script editor? I would love to have something that does auto completes.
Thanks for all the help!
David
I should add that I am aware of the "Move object definition into model group" report that exists but I couldn't find any documentation on how to utilize the report. I also don't believe it is what I am looking for since there are certain groups that I want to exclude such as an archive folder or even the "Object Repository" folder.
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
I beleive you already looked at ObjDef.ChangeGroup().
May be I am missing something.
Sorry for so simplistic solution.
Thanks
