The value of collaboration among employees within a company is unquestioned. The new advanced collaboration enables an even more precise commenting on certain objects.
By clicking a certain object in a process model you can comment on this object. While entering your comment the system auto-generates tags catching the context of a collaboration activity. These auto-tags can’t be deleted by the users, but filtering allows seeing all comments on certain objects.
Auto-tags on objects are displayed in current content language and consider all occurrences of the same object (definition copy) on what you want to comment on. There’s no difference made between object occurrences within a model. Selecting an object automatically filters the comment stream if a comment on the object has been made before. Auto-tags are indicated through a symbol. This differentiates them from user tags.
There is also an important improvement to the ‘all company feed’ in the ‘Collaboration’. It now gets filtered according the respective access privileges.
The ‘all company feed’ is not a superset of ‘everything’ anymore. Before, critical information, which was dedicated to a special user group only, had been displayed to all users. Now, the ‘all company feed’ shows a superset of all information you are following and you have access to (a portal feed, a private or public group, a person).
The permission to see the collaboration of a portal feed is a derived permission: If you have access (r, rw, rwd, rwdv) to the portal item (e. g., a new, streamlined business process), then the collaboration assumes that you may have access to the collaboration stream, too.
Nevertheless, as groups can follow portal feeds the administrator of a group is responsible for making sure that the people following a group have the permission to read the content of this group!
