I am new to ARIS and we just upgraded to Advanced after only a month or so on Basic. I want to create a Product Tree model but it isn't available in the drop-down when clicking 'Create Model'. After doing reasearch, I feel like I needed to copy the Intermediate filter, add the Product Tree model to the filter, apply the filter to my database, and then retry creating a new model. However, it doesn't work. No matter what I've tried I simply can't see ANY difference in the list of model types in the drop down for creating models. I'm assuming this problem will be common to all sorts of things in ARIS, such as adding Attributes.
Can someone PLEASE help me? I've been VERY frustrated with this product. It is VERY hard to understand and there's NO RESOURCES available, other then the Help pages and this forum. And the help pages provide some help but not much.
It showed up! I'm not sure if it was time or the fact that I eventually logged out and logged back in and the Product Tree model type was now available in the drop-down for creating a model. So it seems my understanding was correct - you need to customize the Method Filter to your liking and make sure it's selected as the filter for your Database, and likely log out/log back in when making changes. I'll continue to customize and make sure this concept holds true for all other types of Method Filter customizations, such as Attributes.
