After a great evening event and not much sleep I had to choose a session that will make me wide awake this morning. As usual there was a good choice of three interesting sessions and I finally decided for the Session of Mr. Joni Lehtonen (Vice President, Tieto Business Process Services) with the title “Enable Your Employees to Make Smart Operational Decisions - How to Improve Your Business Processes Performance, be Predictive and Meet the Customer Expectations? “. Joni did a really great job capturing the audience attention even though most of them have had the same amount of sleep as I had :-)
After speaking generally about what to do to meet the challenges described in the presentation title, Joni showed a really interesting use case of how a steel company boosted Business process Performance through Process Intelligence:
Just imagine it is e.g. Wednesday 10.15 a.m. and several people in this steel company want to have several information. For example a Logistics Coordinator wants to have a detailed view on how his process is actually running and where he has to intervene right now. On the other hand for example a Manager wants to have quite superficial information where his company stands right now and if he will achieve his goals. No matter whether you are Manager, Logistics Coordinator or the like you can find all needed information (less or more detailed) in just one single repository…in ARIS. Regardless whether real-time graphic visualization of business process is used in strategic, tactical and operational level ARIS supports to lead and manage process execution to meet customer expectations and meantime to achieve the goal of operational excellence.
