Dear community,
in ARIS 9.8 we can add our own modeltypes. This takes quite some work effort. I lost that now, because I had to reinstall ARIS. Is there a possibility to save the definition of customer modeltypes.
I see this export/import functionality for Filters and Templates (Vorlagen) in the configuration menue. Does this also cover modeltypes, objects etc.? Or is there another option to save some folder?

thank you very much for your answer. I will save my definitions as you described and at a good time will try the restore.
Now I first must do the configuration which I do not want to loose again.

Just a short update. All went well and I was not forced to import my configuration again.
As our testing environment was not available for some time I only now did some tests on the backup and restore of language configuration and model data.
It worked well. I was able to transfer the language configuration and afterwards the new models created with it. (Only the attribute languages were not the same at the beginning so I had to find out why the objects and models were empty.) But today this also was solved.

Hello Frank,
when you export a filter (*.filter) all custom method elements contained in that filter will be exported with it and imported later to any target environment. That is the way to move method customizations from one server to another or from one tenant to another.
Please note, that the type numbers of your custom method elements may not be the same on the target system, however the GUID of those elements will be stable. This is just a side note, if you are doing anything with your custom method elements in scripting.
