All,

I wanted to know if anyone out there has used ARIS in conjunction with HQ Quality Centre. The whole idea is to use existing process models to generate test scripts in HPQC.

If its possible, could you please provide me answers to the questions listed below

1. Which version of HPQC supports this feature?

2. Would we need an added connector\ integration module to implement this?

3. Are there are any conventions limitations? e.g. EPC or BPMN models can only be synced.

4. Is there a step by step instruction on how to move\ sync models between ARIS and HPQC.

I'm eagerly awaiting your response. Many thanks.

Cheers

We are also looking for a similar functionality to generate test scripts in HPQC from the actual models designed in ARIS. We are looking at 3 possible solutions to accomplish this:

  1. We sync ARIS with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) and SolMan has the ability to communicate with HPQC. We sync our process hierarchy from ARIS to SolMan, so perhaps SolMan can send our processes to HPQC using a custom or existing adapter.
  2. Develop a custom report that exports process information from ARIS to a spreadsheet in a format that HPQC can read.
  3. Recently, ARIS Test Designer was made available via ARIS Business Designer/Architect. This has the ability to create testing paths and test scenarios. We are still

I think there are many ways to accomplish your goal, each with their own pros and cons, but hopefully this gives you some ideas.

SAP sells an adapter for integrating SAP Solution Manager and HP Quality Center. (Solution Manager Integration Adapter)  It allows bi-directional integration from QC to both the Blueprint as well as the Help desk.  The idea is that ARIS populates the Blueprint, this info is shared with QC for validation and integration with the Service Desk allows defects to be reported directly from QC.  Lastly the adpater allows you to report the results of the testing (was the requirement met or not) back to SolMan.

Thanks Stephen. I've been reviewing some artciles from the SAP Marketplace and it has detailed step by step instructions on the ARIS --> SolMan --> HPQC integration.

Hi Ganesh,

Can you provide links to the articles on SAP Marketplace that you have read? We are investigating the ARIS Test Designer --> SolMan --> QC too, so they could be a good start.

Cheers,

Loïc
