I am using JRE 1.6 Update 17, and keep getting an "installation failed" error.
antlr.jar reports as being unavailable.
Can you help - I'd really like to evaluate ARIS Express!
Gavin
Hi Gavin,
actually, this message is shown if the JRE is not the correct one. 1.6 update 17 should work (update 10 is the minimum).
So just to be sure: please type "java -version" in the command line to cross check.
In addition, open the Java control panel (system panel), and in the third tab ("Java"), click the "show" button to assure that no other additional JRE is installed. Also different JRE versions (32 and 64 bit) on 64 bit machines can cause problems.
If everything is OK and JRE update 17 is really used, and if the browser settings are also correct, you should contact your IT.
Possibly, the access for Java WebStart application is blocked by firewall or proxy.
Bye,
Frank
