Unable to change root password in aris business publisher

I have a problem when I try to change the password for the user id root in the aris business publisher webpage (~/businesspublisher/layouts/shared/login.jsp). According to the manual, I am supposed to key in root in the user id box and click on the change password link. But when I did that, there was no response. The java script error console shows the error "Error: ReferenceError: extendDialog is not defined".

Any idea what is wrong? Thanks!

I forgot to mention, my business publisher site is ldap authentication enabled. Wonder if this can be the cause?

Yes that's the cause. If you are using LDAP authentication, you manage the users in your user management system (e.g. Active Directory). That means that also the password is managed by your UMS.
