Hi All
I am doing my master thesis (M.Eng) on the application of BPM at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
I have a couple of sources all ready but would like to test the industry too. If you know of any REALLY GOOD BPM literature please let me know. This can be either text books or journals.
Much appreciated.
Cheers
Gert-Louis
Hi Gert-Louis,
as usual, you must first define what you understand by BPM. Are you talking about business process analysis and modelling or are you interested in business process automation and workflow management. After that we might be able to recommend any literature to you. Take a look at chapter 2 of my PhD thesis. There, you can find a comprehensive literature review of the BPM domain, which might be a good starting point for you.
Hi Gert-Louis
I am studing towards my PhD at the University of Pretoria and BPM is also my field of interest. I am working on BPM and how it supports the virtual workplace. Two books I really found useful is (1) Business Process Managment Practical Guidelines to Successful implementation written by John Jeston and Johan Nelis (2009) and (2) Process Mapping, Process Improvement and Process Management written by Madison (2005). I bought the books from amazon as it is not available locally.
Hi Sebastian
Thanks for making your PhD available. It is very kind of you.
Kind regards
