Since the installation of Aris 10.0.20 I cannot get my Aris Installation to work anymore, when I try to specify LOCAL server, I get the message “you cannot manually add a server named “LOCAL””. Aris support tells me: From the release of ARIS 10.0 SR16 in April 2021 also the following functionalities will no longer be supported: Local Server.
As I don't have a database server, how can I continue to use Aris in a standalone mode? Are there any configuration examples fit for non DB-professionals
Thanks

Dear Bertin,
Back in Oktober 2021 we officially announced with ARIS 10.0 SR16 that we no longer support the so-called LOCAL server, that well-known single-user ARIS Server embedded in a locally installed ARIS Architect. But only in the most recent release SR20 we have finally removed that option for fresh installations.
However, since SR20 can update an existing LOCAL server from a prior ARIS version, you could simply install an ARIS version SR15 or earlier with LOCAL, and then update to SR20. This will result in keeping your LOCAL option for the time being.
In generel, I would recommend you a much better option than LOCAL which is also safer and avoids any installation effort for you, that is using ARIS Cloud Advanced. There, you still have ARIS Advanced Architect with the complete ARIS method while your data is kept safe in Software's cloud, plus you can invite other users as ARIS Viewers to collaborate on your process content.
Cheers
