We have been using ARIS for well over a year now for realizing our vision for Business Process Management.
Recently, the management has been looking for ways to benchmark, evaluate and compare our processes with that being practised else where in the world, with a view to ensure requisite process controls, automation, transparency, staffing levels and KPI's.
Having said that, we tried to search for ready-made out-of-the-box ARIS business process models (up to level 4) in areas such as Human Capital Management, Supply Chain (Procurement), Supplier Relationship Management and others, but we were unable to find any source.
While we did find purchasable ARIS processes for ITIL, but other than that our search had yield no result. Are we approaching this right? and is there such a source available from SAP or any third-party vendors?

Muhammad Hamdan
AFAIK you can sync reference models from SAP (SOLMAN) to ARIS. There is no out of the box best practice models provided by ARIS.
You may want to read up
Google for more info :)
Good Day William,
We use ARIS Architect for SAP, but the models we get after syncing are too high level and further more they just constitute of some process steps only. There is no mention of events, roles, technical terms, documents etc, also these processes are adhoc and not end-to-end.
I tried searching the web but other than ITIL i was unable to find standardized SAP process models, probably there are'nt any as you have suggested.
Thanks for your input though.
Regards,
Muhammad Hamdan

Check out the above pages and read the IPR brochure.
Maybe that's the detailed SAP process content you are looking for?

Well, yes we were thinking in these lines, but this seems to be a consulting service. Is it possible to get the best practice process models only.
We would like to understand the gap between our current processes and industry best practices (preferably Oil and Gas). Is there a sample process model available to assess the level of details provided?

Hamdan
