How to do an offline installation for Linux, of the ARIS Community Edition ? I.E. how to download the Linux/MacOS ARIS Community edition, so that the installer can be executed offline ?
express.jnlp
is just a downloader AND combined installer.
So how to get a copy of the download, like with the windows installer, to install it "later" on an offline Linux PC ?
With some other online downloaders, the data is stored in a special directory ect,
while here
c:\tmp\ARISexpress
is created. but there is no installable = executable data in it.
Sincerely
Rolf
Hi Rolf,
there is no offline installation supported on any other systems like Windows. But also on Windows, Express is still installed into the Java WebStart cache, as a WebStart application.
Regarding you second post: if you execute the Windows setup, you see a progress screen "downloading the application" or something similar. This information is not correct, but is shown by the the Java environment, so we can't change it. It just indicates that Express is installed.
Bye,
Frank
