How do I know if there is any model opened (or in use, or locked ....) on a specific database ?

Hi everyone!

I'm a brand new Architect and still have a lot to learn.

I am about to execute the script that will push my database in Aris Business Publisher. Before that, I'm backuping the database to have a copy "just in case".

Because I'm not sure of the behavior of the whole thing if a Designer is working on a model while I do all that, could you tell me:

1- How to find out which are the models currently opened within my database?

2- Does it have any impact if a model is in use while I execute a script or do a backup?

Don't be shy to show your name. We all started at some point in time as newbies. ;-)

1) With ARIS Admintool you can check on ARIS Business Server if users is online in which database using which client version:

The ARIS Server Installation and Administration Guide is where you should start reading and learning.

2) I wouldn't run any maintenance or publishing task while users are still within the same database. You never know which interims version you will get.
