We are using ARIS to model a COBOL system as part of the company's strategy to sustain our legacy systems and also because ARIS is now the process modelling tool of the organisation.
I'm having some trouble to model programs which call other programs. I'm using IT function type to model sub/programs, and I can show how this is related to a function in an EPC with a join. However in COBOL, programs call other sub-programs and so I want to add the other sub-program to the EPC but I am unable to connect it to the calling program (ARIS/method filter doesn't allow it).
I could show the function calling the sub-program directly (instead of from the connected program - which doesn't seem accurate already) but then how to show the order in which the various sub-programs are called by the function? How could I show IT programs calling other IT programs in ARIS?
