According to the method behind EPCs it is not allowed to reuse a function of one diagram in another diagram because it would destroy the overall control flow of the whole process model.
In BPMN a so called Call Activity is known to model a 'reusable' activity/function which can be called from multiple processes.
The question for me is: how to model an equivalent to a call activity in EPC. Have you some practice in doing so?

If you are talking about activity, you can copy Function as Variant, if you’ll do this it would be like definition copy, but you can track ‘parent’ object of variant (through Properties of object) and of course by scripts

a call activity in BPMN does not mean a variant of an activity. A call activity can be called from many different processes but still stays to be this one and only activity of its kind. So modeling as a variant does not meet that semantics.
