ARIS Rocket Search

Hi,

Rocket Search is scheduled to be integrated into Business Architect and Business Designer for the next major release.

Rocket Search is already included in Business Publisher 7.1 as of Service Release 6. However, with Service Release 7 just around the corner, I recommend to wait for it. The new Rocket Search release offers more support for user defined attributes and resolves some annoyances.

New Business Publisher installations use Rocket Search as default search. Updated installations require Rocket Search to be enabled manually. This can be done by adding the following snippet to webappserver.cfg:

<rocketSearch>
        <engine value="on"/>
</rocketSearch>  

Please note that Rocket Search will only show up in the default layout. Custom layouts need to be modified to include the new search UI.

Follow-up question, how to activate Rocket Search in IT / Business Architect? We are using SR 08.

As much as I would love to tell you otherwise, Rocket Search is not available for IT and Business Architect 7.1. It requires the next generation Business Server to keep its index up to date as data is being worked on.

Thanks for quick reply!! Does it mean that it is not available with SR08? Upgrade notes of SR08 (released last or this month) says that Rocket Search is available with this version of SR08 upgrade.

In SR08 Rocket Search is only available in Business Publisher.
