I am looking to get started with ARIS Process Governance (APG) and was wondering if there is a "gold standard" resource or a complete step-by-step tutorial available?
Specifically, I’m looking for guidance on:
- The basic prerequisites for setting up a governance environment.
- A walkthrough of creating a simple "first workflow" (e.g., a basic approval process).
- Any tips on common pitfalls for first-time APG users.
I’ve checked the standard documentation, but I’m hoping to find a more practical, hands-on guide or a video series if one exists.

I am not aware of an easy user guide for self learning on APG.
Btw. Have you considered ARIS Flows as well?
It seems to be much easier to create workflows with this solution: Introducing ARIS Flows: Easy Automation for Process Execution - ARIS
