logo Cebit 2009I'm sure that's why IDS Scheer had the confidence and optimism to take a booth at CeBIT again this year, despite the financial crisis. After all, it's the world's biggest IT trade show.

The official booth in hall 4, booth E38, is certain to attract lots of visitors, so I'm glad that a meeting space has been reserved just a few steps away for in-depth conversations and in-depth discussions. It's well signed, so you can't miss it. Why do I expect a high level of customer interest? Because in times of falling demand, it's vital for businesses to rise above the competition through product innovation and by boosting quality and productivity.

Cebit booth IDS Scheer 2009

Now is exactly the time when companies are looking for answers to questions about which processes to optimize, which to outsource, and which core processes deliver a competitive advantage. Business Process Management is becoming a "must have", rather than merely "nice to have". It's logical, then, that BPM is the key focus for IDS Scheer at CeBIT - and not just to me as press spokesperson. Accordingly, discussion and debate will revolve around the clear customer value delivered by ARIS Platform products. Under the slogan Improve Business Performance, IDS Scheer will be presenting new ARIS software products, proven consulting services, and - for the first time - providing insights into the work of our research and development team. I'm sure that it won't just be the journalists and analysts who'll want to find out what's behind our talk of easy-to-use BPM applications. It'll also be exciting to see the ARIS Governance Engine in action for the first time, with its support for easy modeling of the Business Process Management process plus direct execution. The use of mash-up technologies for intuitive evaluation of multiple data sources is also new.

Oh, and Eric and Joerg from our blogger community will also be part of the booth team - anyone who feels like having a chat and some coffee with our bloggers is very welcome!
