Hello, specialists
I would like to know if there is a possibility to hide certain object attributes in ARIS Connect 10.0.23. I'm mainly referring to the attributes that are generated by default.
I know that through a method filter, it could be solved, but I need a different alternative.
Thank you very much in advance!
Hello Jose,
indeed the method filter is the way to go. Could you elaborate a bit?
- What is your use-case, why hiding attributes via method filter is not suitable for you?
- Are you aware you can assign method filters to user groups? So you could have users that need to see the default attributes, while others shouldn't?
Sometimes the creation date is the only hint for the user if two object occurrences are referring to identical objects or not.

Hello, M. Zschuckelt.
My question for an alternative is for the case where the user who wants to hide certain attributes doesn't have permissions to create/use custom method filters. I've been researching and haven't found any other way than that, that's why I was asking if someone more knowledgeable knows an alternative.
Thank you very much for your answer!
Best regards,
Jose A.
While modelling in Connect Designer it's up to the user to show or hide attributes from the Properties panel. You can hide maintained attributes just the same as unmaintained ones.
Select "Hide always" for the attribute.
For consumers in the portal, a method filter is probably the way to go.
