ARIS on Windows 10?

Hi!

Our users were advised to upgrade to Windows 10. Is it safe to do so? Or are there any adverse effect if we proceed? Please advise of the common issues encountered when upgrading to Windows 10, if there is. Thanks!

Dear Julie,

ARIS 9.8 SR4, availabe since APril 2016, supports Windows 10. Just the browser Edge is currently not supported, but is planned for the October release of ARIS.

Hi Rune,

Can you comment on what specifically doesn't work with the Edge browser?

I've done some basic functional testing of 9.8 SR5 with multiple browsers (including Edge) and didn't come across anything obvious.

Dear Jason,

"not supported" doesn't necessarily mean that ARIS won't work in Edge, but we couldn't guarantee that everything is working.

With upcoming ARIS 9.8 SR6 (mid/end Oct) we will support Microsoft Edge.

Dear Mike,

ARIS supports Microsoft Edge since ARIS 9.8 SR6, and its successors, started with ARIS 10.0 back in April 2017.

Exceptions are that ARIS Publisher Server 9.8 SR6 doesn't support the SAP connectivity when running on Edge, and for the ARIS Download Client and tis Java applet mechanism there's a workaround needed for Edge.
