Hello,
What happens if multiple users access one ARIS Express file? I only found the information that ARIS Express does not support multi user. http://www.ariscommunity.com/aris-express/details When one user has opened the file and another user opens the file, then there is no warning. Is that the expected behavior? What happens when both users save the file? Kind Regards4 Replies

Hi,
well, the last one "wins" or get an error, if the file is blocked during save by the operation system.
Since we have a file based system here without any lock mechanism, this is actually the expected behavior. If you want to have that solved you need a versioning system, e.g. Perforce, VisualSourceSave or whatever, in order to "check out" a model.
Bye,
Frank

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I was thinking of a feature known from MS Office and other programs, which states "File is in use" and then opens the file as read-only. You say that this is not part of ARIS Express, but should be handled externally e.g. with a versioning system. Is that correct? Kind Regards -
