Can someone point me to the best documentation on how to create and apply/use custom symbols?
Meanwhile I am looking here and there . . . but you can probably save me a lot of time if you can point me to the right places.

My best practice approach is preparing a symbol in white colour on transparent background in a PNG format (with some other tool), Then I take any standard symbol as a template and replace the icon with my own icon. Then I adjust the colours of the symbol to my desired colour. This works fine unless you want to do something really fancy with symbols.

in short term:
you need the business architect, which containes the symbol editor (or install the symbol editor).
With the symbol editor, you can create amf files that can be used in the administration of the business architect, you can derive a symbol based on an existing one. Don't forget to include this symbol then in your method filters.

I do understand those basics, I am looking for all the details of how to connect all those dots and make it all work. As far as I can tell, "help" does not include this. i guess it must be documented somewhere, but I haven't found it yet, still looking.
