Simulation not running. What is the problem?
Setup:
Site: ING Bank NL
Aris 7.2
Business server on Windows 2008
User type: system user
Filter: Entire Method
On the server port 16080 and 16081 are cinfigured for inbound and outbound traffic
Problem
I'm trying to start a simulation with a really simple model (see below) on our platform and the simulation breaks with the following message:
Server access: attempt to establish connection failed (pop up-window)
Furthermore, the statistic (View-Options-Simulation-Statistics) can not be configured:
I use the simplest model: event --> function --> xor --> (in parallel) two events --> two functions --> two events

How can we fix this?

Hello Joop,
there is no direct connection between client and simulation server. All communication is going over the ARIS Business Server. That means that in you case Aris Business Server cannot connect to the simulation server. In most cases this happens, if the simulation server has not been started.
To clarify this we need much more information. Therefore you should contact our support.
Your second problem is directly connected to the first problem. The information which statistics are available is delivered by the simulation server. If you have no connection to this server the client cannot receive the necessary information and there the configuration is disabled.
