I work for a very musical company! This is largely due to the influence of Professor Scheer, a real jazz addict. Anyone who has attended ARIS ProcessWorld has probably seen him play live. Jazz is often a part of his keynote address. He even has dedicated lectures focusing on the relationship between Jazz improvisation and management. Sometimes, concerts are held here in Saarbrücken for IDS Scheer staff and jazz fans from the Saarbrücken area. When in Saarbrücken, Professor Scheer plays with different young jazz talents but also with experienced jazz bands such as Oliver Strauch’s Groovin’ High Group, whose range of styles extends from swing and bebop to jazz rock. This line-up has released a number of CDs, the latest of which is entitled Oliver Strauch’s Groovin’ High feat Randy Brecker. Five blog readers have the opportunity to win a CD!
