Our organization is in the process of installing Aris Server, in the meantime this happens I have already installed the Aris Architect & Designer 9.7 in my laptop, I was told that the Architect client had stand alone capabilities so we could start modeling and eventually upload these models to the server when it is ready. Can somebody confirm this stand alone functionality of the Architect Client?, my problem is that when I start the client I am requested to issue information about my server connection, how can I start the Architect stand alone functionality, if this is possible?

Hi,
this is the so called "LOCAL" server.
Is you use the right setting during the installation process on you local machine (it must be a local installation, not the download client where you download the architect from a server), you can install this LOCAL server.
In that case, you will have a predefined connection called "LOCAL", which you cannot edit.
If you use this connection after starting ARIS, this server will be started and you can work with it.
