I have EPCs in a departmental structure, and now i want to use them to model End to End processes. so in my understanding i open a new file in the main group for this purpose and assign a VACD model, then i add the EPCs (occurrences from departmental structure) in a sequential order. my question is, some of my EPCs have multiple Process Interface at the end of the model. So in this case, how can i model the end to end processes when i can't have gateways in the VACD?

Hi Joud,
to understand you right let me repeat your request in my words: You have EPC models and want to create an E2E process model using a VACD model. In the VACD model you use the VAC symbol with an assignment to the EPC model.
VACD models are used to create a high level overview of your processes. Therefore you have two types of connenctions "is process-oriented superior" to create process hierarchies and "is predecessor of" to create value chains. You can combine both. On this level gateways are not needed because not the exact flow of operations is the focus but the overview about the process landscape. So in case of having a process model with several end events ("multiple process interfaces" as you wrote above) you have in the VACD a VAC with several output connections as predecessor of several following VACs. You can give each connection a name (use attribute "Connection role") to differentiate the process interfaces.
If your E2E process should have more logic you can also use a top level EPC model with functions and gateways. The function has an assignment to the detailed EPC ("horizontal integration"), the gateway logic of the detailed EPC is repeated in the calling EPC. You also can use the EPC symbol "process interface" in the top level EPC.
