I installed ARIS 9.6 client in my host, and in my VM installed ARIS 9.6 Design server. I've 2 issues to work out:
- Aris design server runnables are constantly failing randomly one of the 13 runnables. ( I have it running on its own port and every time I start the server I wait until every runnable is "STARTED". Every 5 minutes some runnable stops or fails.)
-The other issue is login in to a database. when the server is "up" I connect to the server IP with ARIS Architect and Design, it looks like every thing is fine but I cant login to any database. When I run it on a local connection everything works fine.

Does your image have enough RAM to host ARIS Design Server?
In order to find the cause for failing runnables, you should collect the log files using .\support\collectLogFiles.bat and ask Global Support ARIS via Empower to look into your issue.
Connecting from ARIS Architect to ARIS Design Server requires port 80 to be open. Did you check the firewall settings inside your image where ARIS Design Server runs?
