Hi,

in ARIS 9.5 Design/Connect Server Setup, you have the possibility to select a so called memory model, in your case (8GB RAM) this must/should be the first option: 'small number of users (1 user)'.

4GB RAM on the machine where the ARIS Client is to be installed on should be enough, but remember to select option 'Client without LOCAL server'.

Kind regards

Dear Christian   Thank you very much for your response. Yes we used first option (1 user). It was a successful trial.    We will apply the actual environment soon.   Best Regards   Khalil Alkiswani

Hi Khalil, to give you some more information:

- The ARIS 9.5 server environment requires a lot of memory, so the 8Gb minimum is not an overstatement

- Please be sure to have at least a quad core machine to your disposal

Practically, the new server architecture loads up to 11 java instances with a memory load ranging between 300 Mb and 1 Gb each.

At first I had a dual core machine with 6Gb as a M deployment <50 users, but this stressed the cores to mainly 80% usage and caused the installer to quit with unexpected errors. The errors were related to a timeout for each instance to be loaded, as the ARIS Cloud Controller showed that not all services were started.

In the minimal setup, the deployment of all services took >25 minutes to load and sometimes manual starting / stopping of services.

Thank you so much for your valuable information, we did this try to be sure the system is work correctly. because in the first we got the ARIS 9.5 media. it doesn't work correctly; but now we got the new release ARIS 9.5b and everything work good.

we didn't upgrade our system yet, but we will do that very soon.   Thank you so much again and Best Regards
