Hallo,

for a book project I need images of the process models, best formatted as vector graphic like eps or png with a resolution of minimum 300 dpi. The standard graphic png export seams not to be sufficient for the book production. Is there any (hidden) functionality or plugin in ARIS availabIe? Or any other advice?

Regards

Klemens

Hello,

in the meantime my research came to the following results:

  1. You can create a PDF version of your model in the reporting section. This includes the picture as vector graphic. Disadvantage: You cannot embed it as picture in WORD.
  2. As I heard from a SAG representative SR26 (coming soon) will provide a report creating a SVG vector graphic. With Microsoft 365 for Subscribers it can be embedded as picture in WORD

Hello Klemens,

the downloadclient can export the complete model or a marked area to PNG.

Alternatively the standard report "Output model information" with diagram to Word DOCX works in Connect Viewer and downloadclient. In Connect you cannot change the default setting (whole model sized to one page), in downloadclient you can use the print preview to adjust page margins and cut of the model graphic.

Hello Martin,

thank you for your feedback. I know these download options, but the resolution is not high enough for high quality printing (at least 300 dpi). Do you know any option in the settings to set the dpi value for PNG exports?

Hi Klemens,

What I would try is to copy the entire (or the part that is relevant) diagram, so that you have the content in the clipboard. Then, you can paste it, eg. to Powerpoint. The resolution is a lot better than with the export functionality.

Maybe this solves your problem.

Best,

Veronika
