Hi,

is anybody using the SIPOC methodology or especially the SIPOC model type? From my point of view the methodology to define suppliers, the input and output of processes or function and the related customers is not more than to model a VACD or a BPMN on a high level as overview diagram. As first step may be Excel with columns for S.I.P.O.C can be used as input/output analysis. Is there any additional value I do not see? I know that SIPOC is part of the Six sigma management approach. Is this approach still common in organizations? I think the ARIS Six Sigma toolset is no longer available.

Regards

Klemens

I have seen this in the automobile industry on the shop floor. I am not aware that any of the six sigma model types have been sunset?
