Hello,

how can I define an image as attribute of a BPMN object (e.g. task or data object) and place it as image (not as link) in the diagram of the model. A data type BLOB is not avaible for attribute types.

Using the graphics import of the diagram only places the image visually in the diagram and is not part of the model. A work around is using the attribute type "documentation", placing the image in a WORD document. Then the image is shown in the details window but a function to visualize it as part of the diagram is not available.

Any ideas?

Regards

Klemens

You can assign an image to an attribute and then show it on the model:

If you need something else, please give a case

Thank you for the feedback. I hope I understand your proposal correctly.

In your case the symbol is firmly assigned to the attribute type and you only have two symbols to assign "value specified" or not.

When I say image I mean pictures. The picture itself is the attribute.

Example: In BPMN I am using the object "data store" to model different equipments. The actual used equipment should be visualized as a picture in the diagram.

The option I suggested initially is not your way (it would be yours if you had, for example, 10 equipment types), but I believe there are too many of equipment types. I remember SAG promised to add this feature for the Description/definition attribute, but for now, it only allows formatted text without graphics. Fragments also not your option by the same reason.

Maximum what I'd do is to create a separate model (library) with that equipment just placing the photo as you did through the import. I'd place these pictures next to the object, so that I could extract them by script into SOP. So, on the library model I'd have data object + picture, and on the BPMN - only data object. Maybe there are other ideas, it would be interesting to see.

Regards,

Alexander
