Replacing Exisitng Role creating / showing Relationship with Previous Role

When you place an object on the new lane, ARIS creates an invisible (implicit) connection with it. Technically, all connections have definitions, but you cannot delete them manually. To do this, you need to perform the Reorganization command for the DB (if you have the Enterprise edition, you can set it by schedule). The reorganization will delete all 'dead' objects (with zero occurrences) and connections. 
For ARIS Cloud, the Reorganization is only available under Administration > Databases

For ARIS Enterpris,e you need ARIS Architect with the certain admin rights.

it looks like being "Test task2" the same object (occurence copy) embedded in two different lanes with different names. So for sure object "Test task2" is linked to  "Test Role Lane_1" and at the same time to lane "Test Role Lane_2" and this is shown in the relations and is a desired functionality. If you want to avoid this, you must use different objects (definition copy) in the repository and these should have ( it's not a must) different names.

You actually can Manually Delete Connections that have No Occurrences. You can do it both in Connect (browser) or the Architect Java Client. I actually have a monthly scheduled report (attached) to show me No Occurrence Connections and then I manually delete them (never more 10-15) as I have found that Matrix Model Connections get broken/corrupted if you let the Reorganization Delete Connections. The report is not perfect, but it works for my purposes.

Obviously, if there are Occurrences of the Connection/Relationship the "Delete Connection" will fail. I created an Idea (Extend Relationship Details Display in Connect | Share your ideas) to add the ability to see the Occurrences of a Connection/Relationship in Connect.
