I would like to use ARIS Express on a machine, where I do not have admin rights to install the tool.
As ARIS Express is a java based tool, is it possible to install ARIS Express on a separate machine (windows) and copy the files (JAR files) to other machine and execute the files without separate installation. I would like to copy all the JAR files and run the JAR files, assuming it will work. BTW, I could not find where the JAR files were installed. I looked into C:\Program Files. The system command is:
C:\Windows\System32\javaws.exe -localfile -offline "C:\Users\User Name\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\45\72b5016d-1e3e8a4c"
Any thoughts or insights into how to make this work.
Thanks in advance,
CK

Hi,
no, this is not possible. All jar-files are copied into your webstart-cache. It is not possible to copy the jars and start Express from another location.
If you do not have administration rights, and - assuming you have an appropriate JRE version installed - just try the alternative download link.
Bye,
Frank
