I got the error message MSVCP71.dll is missing when I starte the Symbol Editor; also the file is located in the root. Any help.

The msvcp71.dll file is used by most of the programs compiled in C or C++ source code. The msvcp71.dll file provides routines for programming applications for "Microsoft Windows" up to "Windows Xp". These routines constitute a significant improvement to earlier programming routines. The most common occurring error messages caused by problems with msvcp71.dll: o "Msvcp71.dll Not Found." o "Cannot find [PATH]\msvcp71.dll." o "The file msvcp71.dll is missing." o "Cannot start [APPLICATION]. A required component is missing: msvcp71.dll. Please install [APPLICATION] again." o "This application failed to start because msvcp71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Errors related to the msvcp71.dll file are often caused by accidental actions that were not intended. These actions have led to the fact that the msvcp71.dll file has become corrupt or been moved or deleted. The universal solution is to download and re-install a new copy of the msvcp71.dll file
