Hello,
I am encountering a problem starting up MashZone on a Windows Server 2003, after two other successful installations and startups on such servers.
From the logs, I can tell that the installation itself was successful, and that MashZone has been started up as a service. I start it in the browser and get an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" screen. If I try to access MashZone via localhost, it tells me that I need to install Flash Player - this also happens on the other two servers, so I don't believe this is a relevant discovery.
I've attempted to reinstall the app with different ports, mess around with folder permissions, and search for hints in the logs, all without success. Most of the log files are empty, except for C:\Program Files\ARIS MashZone\system\tomcat\logs\catalina.2013-08-13.log

From what I have read, there's nothing unusual about these. The service is running according to the machines list of Services, under Software AG MashZone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards.
Dear Ksenia,
First of all, did you start MashZone setup as Administrator? To do so, right click setup.exe and select Run as Administrator from the context menu.
Also, did you choose MashZone 64bit version?
And if you did both right, did you try to start MashZone as application instead of Windows service?
By using start_mashzone.bat you might see additional information/errors at the command prompt.
And check the setup log file for errors:
%MASHZONE_HOME%/system/logs/ARIS_MashZone_InstallLog.log
Cheers
Rune
Hello Rune,
Yes, I did start my MashZone setup as an admin.
I believe I am using the 32bit version, as this is the version that has successfully installed on the other two servers. I think I remember attempting to use the 64bit, but it was not a successful installation.
There were no errors in the install log. It reads that the installation was successful.
I tried starting MashZone as an application, and C:\Program Files\ARIS MashZone\system\tomcat\logs\catalina.2013-08-14.log was the only log that gave me information:

Does this give us any clues? The URL with the server name still gives me the same error, but replacing server name by "localhost" in the URL asks me to download Flash. So no changes, really.
Thank you,
Ksenia
Hi Jonathan,
I substituted the IP address of the server into the URL and tried accessing MashZone from a client with Flash installed. It took me to the screen that asks me to get the Flash Player. This is strange, since I am still able to access MashZone on the other 2 basically identical servers from the same client (we have 4 separate ARIS environments - test, dev, prd, and prd publisher, and I've been working with MashZone on test and dev with no problems).
I'm gonna try to update my Flash player to the most current version and see if that makes a difference.
Thank you,
Ksenia
