This is for ARIS Express.
The Close and Close All functions in the File menu become disabled if a window other than the main content window does not have focus. E.g. if you select the Icons window by clicking on its title bar, the Close and Close All functions in the File menu are disabled.
They should remain enabled. As a user, I am not interested in technicalities of which window has the focus, at least not if there is only one document open.
