Hi All,
Does anyone have any examples of models Solution Architects are creating in ARIS & the objects/model types they are using?
In the past ARIS has not met their requirements & so other tools have been chosen. I've been tasked with trying to meet these & not being an expert in this field myself, was looking for some advice or insight into how others have achieved this.
Appreciate the support.
Thanks,
Leanne

Hi Leanne,
to give you some advice it would be helpful to have some more information of the requirements. Solution architect is, as you know, a general job description of IT people including Business-, System-, Informations-, Security-, Application- und Technology Architecture. The more general question is, are you looking for modelling which is more business oriented (then I recommend the model type BPMN) or more technical oriented (appropriate model types can be ArchiMate, UML). Besides these standardized modeling notations which are all available in ARIS, ARIS provides a lot of further more proprietary model types for IT archicture modelling, application landscape modelling, requirements modelling, data modelling and so on. If in your ARIS environment the example database UMG is still available you get a good overview of different model types starting from the UMG repository.
But for sure it depends what you (or may be your clients, I see that you are working for KPMG) want to reach and without this knowledge it is hard to give you more specific advice.
