Hey ARIS Community,
i got a problem importing an .xml file from another software into ARIS. I get the error message that the first line (and all the others) is no AML-Tag. I know now that ARIS needs .xml files in the specific AML language to import them.
Is there some kind of workaround to change my existing .xml file to AML or some other solution so i can import the file?

Hi Dominik,
XML ist a mere meta format, just a way to structure information. Consequently you have to specify in more detail. Which XML file emitted by which application (even the version number might be required) do you try to import in ARIS. Also the ARIS version number is required to decide if there is a chance to perform that import.

Hey Carsten,
i am using ARIS A&D 9.8. I am not able to provide you with the exact same xml file that is causing the problem but i exported a "test database" into an xml file. It shows the same error message.

To me the AML content is not generated by ARIS but by another system. In case you experience an issue with importing an AML file, I suggest to make a new post which gives others the chance to see your question as this post was started back in 2016.
