Hi all,
I'm experimenting with the use of the Functional Allocation Diagram (FAD), but could not find enough information online about how and why to use this type of model. I got two questions:
1. Would it be weird to use a FAD in combination with an Enterprise BPMN Collaboration Diagram model or is it only logical in combination with an EPC model? I'm interested in linking activities out of the Enterprise BPMN Collaboration diagram model, due to the overview the FAD gives (mainy focused on business controls)
2. Would it be possible to run an export of all objects I have added in FADS? So for example get an overview of which control, risk or policy gets mentioned in which model?
Best Regards,
Leon
Hi Leon,
To me, this is not weird at all :) In fact, I regard it as the best way for how to add additional information if you don't want to use EPCs.
And yes, you can report on these kinds of things easily. For instance, you could create a query that you start on Enterprise BPMN level.
If you are familiar with ARIS script, then you could also create a report, like a word or a PDF document, that collects all information of the assigned FADs.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Veronika
