We have several contractors working on our projects and using our Aris instance to create or update models. For every contractor, we create a user account.
Once the project is over, and the contractors are gone, the question is: what should happen to the accounts we created for them?
How do you handle such circumstances?
For the time being I created an "Inactive users" groups with no rights attached (no license rights, no read permisions on the repository, ...), and moved inactives users to this group, before deleting them later.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't delete the user accounts in UMC. Reasons for keeping them should be evaluated in the context of EU GDPR. Their user ID will remain in your database in the "Creator" and "Last Editor" attributes of all models and objects they created/updated.

Remove their access and leave them in the UMC. You may need them in the future and it is good to have users in the system for reporting purposes.
@Software AG: Would be nice to have an option to hide or deactivate users in the UMC.
