ARIS IT Inventory creating new database

Hello,

i am trying to use the ARIS IT Inventory as Add-ON to the Business Publisher (Version 7.1.0.490292). When deploying the demo Database of IDS (called United Motors Group) we can access the IT Inventory extension.

BUT after setting up a new database with the customer structure we cannot access the IT Inventory extension anymore. We followed the ARIS IT Inventory documentation and modified the following files:

- mappings.xml (constant name="itSystemDirectory")

- interfaces.xml (interfaceDiagram path)

Moreover we entered all attributes in english and set the attribute 'system typ' to system.

Even more confusing is that after changing the mentioned settings the ARIS IT Inventory of the ARIS demo database is still accessible.

Could you please provide us some suggestions.

Have you changed the GUID or name of the IT Inventory user group in the security.xml file located in:

<install directory>\ARIS7.1\BPServer\tomcat\webapps\businesspublisher\config\extensions\ext02

The only way I could solve it was to go through the followign steps:

1. Create a an IT Inventory user group in your new model

2. Open the abovementioned .xml file and look for this section:

<property name="groupguid">

"GUID of Group in Demo DB"

</property>

3. Change it to:

<property name="groupname">

"IT Inventory"

</property>

Now you should see the IT Inventory tab whether you sign in to the DemoDB export or your own.
