Could you please tell me how to create custom prefix for an attribute and assign that to a particular user/group in ARIS IT Architect.

Dear Manojna,
Prefixes can be fixed for a user and are valid for all elements, not only attributes. You specify them for a database (admin module -> right-click -> properties -> identifier) and then for each user. I remember a time when it was possible to assign a prefix to a user group but I don't see this possibility now in 7.2.. In any case you can check it by selecting the group and opening properties (Alt-enter).
