I've been trying to download ARIS Express, but every time I try I get an error message. When I click the Details button, there is an error in the console:
#### Java Web Start Error:
#### Connection timed out: connect
Does any one else have this problem? Is ARIS Support aware of this problem?
Thank you for your quick response, but I don't think the problem is related to proxy settings. I don't have any proxy settings set and a proxy is not required on the network I'm on.
By the way, when I first tried to install ARIS Express, there was an error message saying that the file http://download.ariscommunity.com/client.jar could not be found.
Update: I've tried to install ARIS Express once again, starting it from http://www.ariscommunity.com/aris-express using the Download Now button. Now I get the error 'Unable to load resource: http://download.ariscommunity.com/jh.jar'. When entering this URL into the browser address bar I get a page from the server saying 'Object not found'.
Ah ok, I thought your download doesn't start at all. The problem you describe is most often related to an outdated Java version. You will need at least Java 1.6.10.
I've got Java version 1.6.0_14. Maybe I should also note that I am using Windows 7 (build 7100).
I've updated Java to version 1.6.0_15-b03 and can now run ARIS Express.

Hi Mark,
please take a look at the FAQ. This problem is probably related to wrong or missing proxy settings. I guess you have to access the Internet through a proxy server.
