Hi everyone,
I'm new to simulation and using ARIS 7.2. I've run into a problem with the Accumulated Idle Time attribute. I'm simulating an EPC depicting an employee visiting the company's medical department. I've assigned frequencies (e.g.how many patients visit per month) to events, the "Number of Employees" to the doctor and "Processing Time" for a patient. However, my simulation results show huge differences between "Accumulated Busy Time" and "Accumulated Idle Time", which is not the case in reality.
I've set the attributes as follows: a 2-hours shift, 5 doctors,55 patients per day, and processing time of 10 minutes per patient. Now how I do I go about workload analysis? I'm attaching the stats chart. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Without knowing exactly what you've set in your models it's hard to identify the cause of the problem you are seeing. My guess would be that the shift for the organizational unit is not set correctly.
I've attached a database with a very simple sample. (It's zipped so that the community software would let me upload it.) It contains an EPC with one function that is excuted by an organizational unit. The function has a processing time of one hour. The organizational unit has a schedule assigned with a calendar event that specifies a working time of two hours per day. When you simulate the EPC for a few days, the utilization of the organizational unit should be shown as 0.5 and the accumulated idle time should be as high as the accumulated processing time.
Before you try this, you should make sure that you have the latest version of ARIS 7.2 installed.
