Dear Aris experts,
I'm quite a novice on Aris topic and facing a challenge of multilingual content management in Aris.
The current situation : I have tenant having all business processes maintained in English. I need to extend the usage of this data base to additional alternative language. Concretely, I need to initiate the alternative version of the content from it's English version.
Do you have any tips / idea on how I can proceed with a mass update of alternative langauge version of content from the English one?
Thank you in advance for your feedbacks!
Cheers,
Hello,
There are basically two things to distinguish when you want to see translated content:
1. Value attributes where you have the choice between multiple values like "yes/no/perhaps" or "high/medium/low". For those attributes you do not want to have a translation that could go wrong. A "No" in English must be the same corresponding value in French (Non) and Italian (No). The translations for the value attribute is done in your method configuration.
2. Text attributes, like the Name or Description. Most of these attributes are of type "Language dependent", so they can contain a different text for every language. Since SR16 you can integrate external translation engines and have them translate your content for you. These are DeepL, Google Cloud Translation, and Azure Translator. You need to have a commercial account with these translation services, which you can use.
