The install defaults to My documents, which is my case a dfs-unc link to my redirected home folder.on the network. After selecting a model the applications creates an error message which states that "The system cannot find the path specified [which points to the ARISExpress\server\config\jaas.cfg]..". I can try and trick the application (as a workaround) to use a local redirection to my documents, but this has to be done each time I login, which is not a workable solution.
Hi,
could you please send me the log-files? (located normally for a windows system in "c:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress\log and ...\ARISExpress\server\log).
Please send them to frank.weyand@ids-scheer.com
There are 2 paths important for Express:
- For Windows systems: "c:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress"
Here, the configuration files should be located
- the download of the tool itself
This can configured by the Java Control Panel via System Panel (take care: please uninstall Express first before changing that: you can spoil the update mechanism of Java Webstart otherwise)
- The folder for "my documents", where Express tries to place the example models.
But that should not be a problem: you can store your models wherever you want.
Bye,
Frank
Dear Ravi,
you can install ARIS Express along with ARIS 7.0. However, make sure that you execute ARIS Express with a recent Java installation (1.6.10 or above). Otherwise you won't be able to launch it. Installing a recent Java should not bring up problems with ARIS 7.0, because ARIS 7.0 ships its own JRE directly in the application folder.

Sebastian
