Hello
I am working with ARIS in a bank organization and we would like to testing and implications regarding modeling in the BPMN model and using the final model to generate software code.
After functional modeling in accordance with the BPMN models implemented in ARIS, is it possible to export the chart from ARIS and transfer it to systems that know how to receive the BPMN chart and generate (generate) code from it?
Are there organizations that use and model the BPMN model in ARIS and implement this capability? What are the implications for the application?
Do you have any return of experience on it ?
Thanks for your help
There is functionality (see screenshot) to export your BPMN model in an executable environment. But there are many 'but'. First of all the view/representation in different tools will be different, be prepared for that you need manually align everything. Also, do not expect that you'll get something 'executable'. I'd say graphics itself is 5-10% of the work you need to perform before it starts working. And also keep in mind that the BPMN business model and 'executable' BPMN model are usually different, depends on your engine capabilities sometimes they are very different.
So there are many obstacles to make this export useful.
Hi Ohayon,
I'm used mostly with Bizagi Studio and had some implementation projects. But you should keep in mind that if you are going to use any BPMS, assure maturity of your EA & process governance. As for the beginning, it looks usually very promising, but if you cannot govern changes properly or you do not have integrated process architecture, the result you may not like.
