you can encrypt a report via report properties. Select the author field and press shift/ctrl/alt and k, then open a new window. Here you can select the options and encrypt your report.
NOTE: You can encrypt a report, but not decrypt it. Also make a backup copy of your report before you encrypt it.

I think you can do decrypt by doing the same thing ie by pressing shift+ctrl+alt+K on Author field. You obviously need to know the password which you used for encrypt.
But definitely it is a good advice to backup incase memory loss:) (so many passwords now-a days)
