Dear ARIS community members,

Business Process Management has attracted a significant amount of applied research that significantly influenced the direction of BPM. Examples for this influence can be found, among others, in the areas of BPM maturity models, process modelling notations (eg EPC, BPMN) and process execution.

The most significant gathering of the BPM community that is dedicated to reflecting on and extending the BPM body of knowledge is the international BPM conference.

As the chair of the BPM 2010 Industry Track, I would like to invite you to participate in this unique event. BPM 2010 will be the eight conference in a series that provides the most prestigious forum for BPM researchers and practitioners. The conference typically has an acceptance rate of around 15% and consequently showcases the highest quality innovative research and system demonstrations. This year, the event will be held at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, which is only minutes away from Manhattan.

While academic conferences are typically focussed on research, BPM 2010 will include a specialised Industry track that provides a dedicated forum in which BPM professionals can share their experiences with other practitioners and learn from the successes or challenges of others. Your participation and experiences also provide an important input into the current BPM research directions and help to align future research with the needs of the BPM community. We would be most interested, if you would be willing to share your experiences regarding process modeling/innovation projects within your organisation, BMP software and architectures, business intelligence, and process flexibility, among others.

I hope this specialised event will be of interest to you and I invite you to take a closer look at the details on the BPM 2010 website at: http://www.bpm2010.org/call-for-papers/call-for-industry-contributions/ We look forward to seeing many contributions from the ARIS community!

If you have any questions about the event please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Michael Rosemann

Industry Chair @ BPM 2010
