Hi people!
I have read some news in the web, and they are showing some possible directions. For example: in the link:
They wrote the following: "There is no link between ARIS-based modeling (SAP Enterprise Modeling Applications by IDS Scheer) and the NetWeaver BPM in this version; integration is planned for a later version, although it will be interesting to see how that plays out now that IDS Scheer has been purchased by Software AG, which competes with SAP in (at least) the BPM arena".
I would like to understand which will be the right direction... I used to love those ideas, which lead ARIS as a "Business 2 Model" and SAP Netweaver BPM as a "Model 2 Execution". But this week I have heard from some consultancies that SAP Netweaver BPM substitutes ARIS. My question is: What about Enterprise Architecture? Does the SAP Netweaver BPM have all user-friendly features that ARIS owns?
Is there anyone here that knows something about this subject?
Cheers,
Udo
Hi Marcelo,
that's an interesting advice. Nevertheless there exist a lot of different BPM tools, which often referred as important and unique BPM tool. Someone says that product is the best, another means this solution is the greatest.
From my point of view there isn’t a BPM tool like ARIS available, which relates to conceptual process modeling and business process analysis on the one hand and on the other hand covers strategically planning. There are of course a lot more arguments, but I think the one truth is the holistic approach. Perhaps therefore SAP decided to include ARIS into their product portfolio , there known as SAP Enterprise Modeling Applications by IDS Scheer. By the way do you saw this useful comment by Thomas Volmering? Thomas is Product Manager by SAP - he should know it ...
BR Uwe
Hi Uwe,
As you said and I believe in it as well, there isn't a BPM tool like ARIS. Today, in a meeting, I had how to share all ideas I get from you and other experts about this subject. So I had an important result: Business 2 Model (ARIS) and Model 2 Execution (SAP BPM).
Thanks for your time and appreciation!
Udo
